Serious photography since the 1970s

At the beginning just having a camera was enough, soon the quality of cameras started to be important. Later I have understood - okay, the equipment must be best available - but the quality of pictures is most important. My equipment must be better than I am, so for bad results I cannot blaim anything or anyone else but myself.

  • When I was a young boy my father bought me my first camera. It was Felica 4x4.
  • Next cameras I bought with my own money. During film era I had  quite a many cameras in 24x36, 6x6, 6x7 and 6x9 formats. I was fascinated with their technical details and increasing quality.
  • Now, I if I have to make something serious, a full frame digital camera is good enough. In other situations I use a pocket size digital camera.

In darkroom

  • I started with Opemus II, later Durst M 700 with possibility to a larger format negatives.
  • Now Lightroom and Photoshop make my darkroom.
